In a long conversation with Suzanne Ciani we put some spotlights on the art of using Buchla synthesizers, on performing with modular synths, and on how musical careers develop – sometimes randomly, sometimes a bit more “planned”.

Further this issue introduces modules that allow us to get a Buchla feeling even in Voltage Modular and VCV Rack. Some are “only” inspired by Buchla synths, some others are quite faithful software replications of Buchla modules.

Last but not least there is the beginning of our new series of articles about the basics of music theory. Well, yes, it is about theory, but it´s going to be a rather practical way of dealing with the matter.
