In this issue you´ll find not only 1, but 2 parts of Hans Holema´s great series about how to make your own modules in Voltage Modular “Learn Java + Voltage Modular Designer – Side by Side” begins literally at zero and leads the reader up to professional module making – step by step.

Cherry Audio´s new Trident MK III synth is another huge topic in this month´s issue. The article gives some insights concerning the history of Korg´s hardware Trident, enlists all features of Chery Audio´s enhanced software version, and analyses a complex factory preset – the best and most fun way to learn this instrument.

Part 6 of “Beginner´s Guide” to patching modular synths with the free version of VCV Rack continues with setting up Ambient Music patches, and the advanced Voltage Modular module of the month is R_Ware´s “Partializer”, a module that takes a mono pitch CV and generates (adds) a series of partials to it.

Switches and their creative application is another topic, and Bastl Instruments´ hardware module “Pizza” has got a software version in VCV Rack at last. They call their “Pizza” an FM and wave shaping oscillator - a huge understatement of this versatile (and free in VCV Rack) module.

Kushview´s “ELEMENT” is the topic in our series about hybrid studio setups and workflows. ELEMENT is a modular hub for seamless hybrid audio in the studio and on stage. Bryan Tennyson from Kushview writes: “Element acts as an ultra-lightweight and dedicated host, providing a highly efficient and flexible modular routing environment for both software plugins and external audio hardware. As a result, it conserves system resources for uncompromised audio performance without the overhead of a full DAW. “
