Making Ambient Music With Cherry Audio Synths

ambient music

I´ve started working on this new e-book, which is scheduled for being published in June (2025), Brian Eno said in an interview some time ago, that he didn´t even recognise (his) ambient music when listening to all the sub-genres of ambient that have occurred since the end of the 1970s. And indeed, I´ve found 15 – partly totally - different kinds of ambient music in my researches (again one more than in December!). So I thought: “How to find a common musical territory to start from? It´s going to be a very practical book after all!”

I found the answer to this question in an article on MelinePlus:

“Stem cells are cells with the potential to develop into many different types of cells in the body. They serve as a repair system for the body. There are two main types of stem cells: embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells.

Stem cells are different from other cells in the body in three ways:

  • They can divide and renew themselves over a long time

  • They are unspecialized, so they cannot do specific functions in the body

  • They have the potential to become specialized cells, such as muscle cells, blood cells, and brain cells”

Well, I´ve composed/produced a “stem cell of ambient music”, which can be developed into any of the numerous sub-genres in chapter 1 of the e-book. Nicely step by step, and with all important files being part of the download – like always. And, of course, with embedded videos again. In quite a “few” projects I´m going to construct/make/compose/produce different pieces, belonging to different sub-genres of ambient music now. The book shows every single practical step as well as the underlying thoughts.

I´ll keep you updated.

Cheers and peace!

Rolf
