James Bond And The Tin Box
In this part 3 of “Tin Box Recordings” I´m visiting the heart of the Spa district of Karlovy Vary (Czech republic).
Quite a “few” international movies were shot there, the most famous of which are the James Bond thriller “Casino Royale” from 2006, and “The Last Holiday” (with Queen Latifah and Timothy Hutton), also from 2006.
But my goal there is to record the sounds from inside a cable car, the oldest in the whole country, and the one with the largest lane in the whole Austria-Hungary Empire in 1914.
I compare the different recordings (dynamic microphones inside and outside the tin box, contact microphones), and I showcase ten different results of simple sound processing using these recordings as the “base camp” for further explorations.
The sound processing software, that I´ve used (I´m not showing these processes in THIS video, but will show and explain them in a later one) are:
PaulXStretch (Sonosaurus)
Tomofon (Klevgrand)
CrusherX (accSone)
Granite (New Sonic Arts)
